A Pair of Bronze Vases Signed in gold itozogan to the bases Saikyo ju , and signed Ikkodo Atsuyoshi zo and Kyoto Atsuyoshi zo to the sides, Meiji Period (late 19th century) Each vase in two distinct styles of metalwork, the lower part with dragons carved in low relief and inlaid in silver and gold in Komai style with geometric designs and roundels of ho-o birds, the upper section with cranes inlaid in shakudo , silver and gilt flying among bamboo carved in low relief, all bordered in gilt with keyfret designs 21cm. high (2)
