A Pair Of 40-Bore Flintlock Box-Lock Pocket Pistols, And A 140-Bore Percussion Box-Lock Pocket Pistol The first signed H. Nock, London, the second signed Richards, London, both first quarter of the 19th Century The first with reblued turn-off barrels each engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle, signed actions decorated with martial trophies on each side (top jaws and screws replaced), engraved thumbpiece safety-catches also locking the steels, folding triggers, swelling chequered figured walnut butts (one replaced ?), and silver escutcheons, Birmingham proof marks; the second converted from flintlock, with turn-off barrel, signed action decorated on each side with martial trophies, engraved thumbpiece safety-catch, engraved trigger-guard, and flat-sided figured walnut butt inlaid with later (?) silver wire flower-heads and scrollwork (minor pitting), Birmingham proof marks 61/8in. (15.6cm.) and 45/8in. (11.7cm.) (3)
