A NYMPHENBURG GROUP OF 'THE SLEEPER DISTURBED' CIRCA 1770, IMPRESSED BAVARIAN SHIELD MARK After a model by Franz Anton Bustelli , with a farm-boy curled up asleep on a series of C-scrolls against a dilapidated obelisk applied with moss, a dog below him, a farm-girl seated on a grassy knoll to the left looking over towards him and playing the zylophone to wake him, on a shaped shallow grassy mound base edged with scrolls, enriched in colours and some in gilding (his left foot restuck, slight re-touching to disguise chipping to tree branches and minute chip to her hat, majority of her sticks lacking, firing cracks filled with plaster) 9 3/8 in. (24 cm.) high
