In the Louis XIV style, the arched case surmounted by a figure of Chronos, the repoussé brass dial with enamel Roman chapters within a laurel wreath border, above a glazed panel behind figures of the Fates, flanked by uprights headed by scrolling pilasters surmounted by shells, the apron inlaid with the inscription 'CUNCTA CUM TEMPORE REGUNT' between scrolling feet, the sides and back inset with glazed panels, on a conformingly decorated bracket with 'espagnolette' mounts' to the angles, the mounts stamped 'AD', the movement stamped 'EM' '7370' and '10.6'
