The stone is of a mottled dark green color suffused with a dense network of buff-colored alteration. Together with a hardstone bi disc, Northwest or Southwest China, 2nd millennium BC, has a central aperture drilled from one side. The stone is of mottled brown and greenish-grey tone, with matte surface. 6 ¾ in. (17.3 cm.) diam., cloth box Provenance The Irving Collection, New York, by 1987.
