A MEISSEN KAKIEMON BOWL CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, DREHER'S TWO CONJOINED CIRCLES En suite with the preceding, after a design by Johann Gregorius Höroldt , painted with an exotic bird with a long blue tail perched on a puce branch issuing from stylised rockwork and with branches of flowering peony and chrysanthemum, the reverse with a winged insect in flight, the interior with flowering peony, brown line rim (slight wear to interior and rim) 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm.) diam.
