A matched pair of Victorian electro-type plaques, by Elkington and Co. probably designed by Lionard Morel-Ladeuil (1820-1888), circular form, one with a scene of a classical woman on horseback repelling an attack by lions, the other with a classical scene, velvet mounted wooden frames, a.f, diameter 40.2cm. (2) Provenance: From the Collection of Sir Framjee Dinshaw Maneckji Petit, 3rd Baronet (1901-1983) and Lady Sylla Dinshaw Petit (nee Tata), and then by descent to the current owner.
