Beschreibung:

Containing thousands of pieces of paper all relating to Golden Era Hollywood films, this collection is housed in 26 banker's boxes (one for each letter of the alphabet) and is alphabetized by the name of the movie. So detailed and huge in scope, just some of the items in this collection include: original vintage lobby cards (though there are also many color copies of lobby cards), vintage and reprinted black and white stills, color stills, and headshots of actors, newspaper and magazine clippings, 'of the era' advertisements and articles, pressbooks, handbills, postcards, souvenirs, jig saw puzzles, 45 records, schedules, programs and other such items too numerous to list. The lobby cards alone are fantastic, but the entire collection really needs to be seen in person to appreciate its enormity -- our catalogue description and photograph alone do not do it justice at all. A small listing of just some of the films that are represented in this huge group are (in alphabetical order): Accused, All This and Heaven Too, All About Eve, Annie Get Your Gun, As You Desire Me, Autumn Leaves, The Awful Truth, Babes in Toyland, Back Street, The Barkleys of Broadway, Beyond the Forest, Blond Venus, Bombshell, Broken Blossoms, Born to Dance, Blue Angel, Bride of Frankenstein, Bringing Up Baby, Bus Stop, Broadway Serenade, Broadway Danny Rose, Cabaret, Camille, Captain January, The Cat and the Canary, China Seas, Confession, Clash by Night, Citizen Kane, Coquette, Daddy Long Legs, Devil is a Woman, Dangerous, Dark Victory, Dial M for Murder, Dead Ringer, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dinner at Eight, Don't Bother to Knock, Every Night at Eight, Fantasia, Female on the Beach, Follow the Fleet, Forty-Second Street, For Me and My Gal, Gilda, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Gone with the Wind, Gold Rush, The Great Gatsby, Gypsy, The Harvey Girls, Hell's Angels, Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, I Could Go On Singing, In the Good Old Summertime, It Happened One Night, Johnny Guitar, The Kid, King Kong, Ladies of the Chorus, Lady Eve, Lover Come Back, Made for Each Other, Mannequin, The Merry Widow, Mildred Pierce, Moon Over Miami, My Forbidden Past, Niagara, Night at the Opera, Now Voyager, Of Human Bondage, Pandora's Box, Possessed, Queen Bee, Queen Christina, Rain, Rebecca, Red Dust, Revenge of the Creature, Rio, Sadie Thompson, Saratoga, The Son of the Sheik, Some Like it Hot, Sorry Wrong Number, A Star is Born, Stolen Life, Sudden Fear, Sunset Boulevard, There's No Business Like Show Business, Torch Singer, Twentieth Century, Two Faced Woman, To Catch a Thief, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane, White Sister, Wizard of Oz, The Women, You Were Never Lovelier, and Ziegfeld Girl, among countless others.
