A Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Kingwood Bureau Plat 19th/20th century the rectangular top of serpentine outline having an inset tooled leather writing surface above a frieze fitted with a central long drawer flanked on each side by two short drawers and a series of opposing faux drawers, raised on cabriole legs mounted with female espagnolettes and ending in scroll cast sabots. Height 29 1/2 x width 69 x depth 37 inches. Estimate $ 1,000-2,000 In good, stable, usable condition. Leather top intact, tight, with only some minor scratches. Mounts all appear present with fairly even patina. Three drawers all open and close smoothly, each with lock, no key. Some veneer splits with some scattered losses, mostly to the lower legs.
