A LOUIS XIV ORMOLU-MOUNTED EBONY, EBONIZED, BRASS, SIMULATED TORTOISESHELL AND BOULLE MARQUETRY BIBLIOTHEQUE BASSE BY ANDRE CHARLES BOULLE, CIRCA 1700 Inlaid en contre-partie , the breakfronted rectangular top with brass borders and ormolu clasps to the corners above an egg-and-dart molded frieze and two glazed doors with scroll and shell corner brackets and flanking a central door with mounted with a figure of Pomona flanked by musical trophies within brass-strung borders punctuated with husk clasps, the sides with brass strung borders punctuated with rosettes over a molded shaped apron mounted with gadrooning, foliate scrolls and rosettes, on bun feet with gadrooned collars, the feet replaced, some mounts replaced in the 19th century 41 in. (104 cm.) high, 62 in. (157.5 cm.) wide, 14 in. (37 cm.) deep
