Lot consists of: (A) Westwood flintlock pistol signed on the lock and marked London on top flat of octagonal barrel. Birmingham proofs on offset flat for view and proof. Vacant hole through the front of the muzzle where bead sight would have sat. Ramrod, likely the original, with brass tip and tail. Barrel retained by a single key. Roller bearing frizzen, with swan neck cock. Lock decorated with rays around pan, and simple geometrics at tail and neck of cock. Vacant silver thumbpiece. Trigger guard decorated with florals and gemetrics. Skipline checkered bag grip. CONDITION: Good. Metal has been cleaned to a bright appearance over some old oxidation with a few deeper areas at barrel tang and left side of muzzle. Tail of lock was hit at one point and is now tipped up. Wood is very good with scattered bumps and bruises, left side has a large pressure mark and tooth marks from a clamp. Action works appropriately when operated by hand, bore is very good with smooth oxidation throughout. (B) Lock signed "KETLAND & Co" at bottom center of lock. Two stage octagon to round barrel with wedding band at transition, with offset Tower private proof marks on offset octagonal flat, and signed "LONDON" on top flat. Ramrod, possibly the original, retained by a single reinforced ferrule. Lock with replaced cock, pan, and pan cover. Brass trigger guard with acorn finial. Brass thumb shield and sideplate. Slabside bag grip. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel has been rebrowned over some minor freckling throughout. New parts of lock are rebrowned, balance of lock with some oxidation.
