A LONGQUAN CELADON RETICULATED GARDEN SEAT MING DYNASTY, 15TH CENTURY Of barrel-form, the sides are decorated with a wide, reticulated band of two Buddhist lions with a brocade ball amidst flowering leafy branches, between bands of cloud scrolls below and lotus scrolls above. The slightly domed top is carved with a cell pattern. The seat is covered overall with a glaze of olive-green color. 16¼ in. (41.2 cm.) high
