Fecit. on the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring, foliate gilt-metal spandrels, the arch with silvered ring for chime/silent , flanked by gilt-metal dolphin spandrels, the substantial three train movement with anchor escapement chiming on eight bells via eight hammers and hour strike on a large gong fixed to the backboard 8 ft.
