A Late Gothic Gilt Copper Ciborium, 15th Century, Probably German the circular base rising to a stem with a cushion knop, supporting a hexagonal receptical for the Host engraved on all sides with the symbols of the four Evangelists, the Veronica veil, and a hand raised in blessing, the hinged cover in the form of a steeple, painted with the number 6586 in red on the underside and in ink on the inside of the cover. Height 13 3/8 in.; 34 cm.
