A LARGE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE 'SCHOLARS' BOWL 18TH CENTURY Finely painted in bright shades of cobalt blue, depicting various scholars and officials in a garden setting, above bands of octagonal cartouches and plum blossoms reserved on a blue ground at the foot, the interior with a bird perched on a peony tree - 15 in (38 cm.) diam.; together with a Chinese blue and white bowl, the exterior with a long-tailed bird perched on a peony tree, the interior with peony blooms - 16 in. (40 cm.) diam. (2)
