Comprising in order; a watercolour sketch of the Armoury at Pyrcroft House, by his wife; off-print on the crossbow of Ulrich V. from Archaeologia, 1893 with illustrations including the pen and ink drawing by John Clements, and manuscript notes in de Cosson's hand; de Cosson's communication to the Society of Antiquaries in 1900 on his sword with pseudo-Arabic inscriptions, with five tracings of the blade inscriptions; the printed sale catalogue pages of pieces from his collection sold at Christie's in 1890 and 1893, annotated with buyers and prices realised, with forty-nine various photographs and printed illustrations, together with a watercolour of a pavise, two watercolours and nine pencil and ink drawings by de Cosson and W. Bachereau (one) of helmets and two swords included in the sales; an article by M. H. Spielman, The Kernoozer's Club, 1889, with a copy of the Rules & Regulations 'passed at a meeting of the club on 31 May 1881' in de Cosson's hand, a list of members of November 1889, and three pen and ink drawings of the bascinet used as the club's crest, by de Cosson; various ephemera on masks and balls etc.; three photographs of de Cosson wearing a 'Maximilian' fluted armour at the Masque of Painter's Ball of 1885; and numerous other photographs showing the collection of arms, armour and other works of art displayed at de Cosson's homes at Pyrcroft House, Chertsey, La Foresterie, Dinan, and 77 via Ghibellina, Florence, mostly with manuscript captions by de Cosson, with one watercolour of an embossed Italian helmet of Charles V; together with miscellaneous photographs and printed ephemera including the original Christie's sale catalogues of 1890 and 1893, five Sotheby's catalogues including pieces from the de Cosson Collection, 1929 to 1951; seven autograph letters and a postcard from Sir James Mann to the de Cossons, 18 July 1928 to 18 February 1929, 22 pages 8vo, concerning various auction sales of the collection and de Cosson's death (a lot)
