A lapis lazuli and cultured pearl necklace and earclips, the necklace of spherical lapis beads with cultured pearls spaced between, to a reeded spherical yellow precious metal clasp, stamped 14k, together with a pair of lapis lazuli earclips, the oval cabochons in yellow precious metal mounts, stamped ‘14k’, with post and clip fittings, necklace length 70cm, earclip length 18mm. £200-£240 Condition Report Necklace: the pearls are of approximate diameter 9mm. creamy white in colour, the surface of the pearls is rather wrinkled in places, with some blemishes in the nacre, and some areas of loss around the drill holes. The lapis beads have natural irregularities to the surface, some with slight cracks evident. There are indications of pyrite (natural to lapis) in all beads. Please note the lapis beads are NOT tested for treatments. The tongue of the spherical clasp is stamped ‘585 14k’, for 14ct gold, the clasp is secure when closed. Weight of necklace is 118gm. Earclips: the lapis has a good sprinkling of pyrite highlights, the mounts are stamped ‘585 14k’ on the mounts for the hinged fittings and appear secure. The weight 5gm. Please note the lapis stones are untested for treatments.
