A KHORASSAN BRONZE OIL LAMP of usual form on spreading foot, the tubular spout rising to a flat everted rim, the angled rectangular handle with upper scrolling member terminating in a lion head, a band of kufic benedictory inscription around the opening, the sides with two interlace roundels, a band of scrolling vine around the foot, 12th century (cover missing) 5 5/8in. (14.4cm.) high, and A SIMILAR OIL LAMP of squatter form, with faceted sides, long rectangular trough spout, domed cover and simple ring handle, 12th century (cover possibly associated) 4¼in. (10.9cm.) high, and ANOTHER SIMILAR without foot, a band of scrolling meandering vine engraved around the mouth, 12th century, 5in. (12.8cm.) long, and AN IRON OIL LAMP of simple bowl form with extruded rectangular trough spout, the angled flat section handle pierced with hole, probably 12th century (corrosion) 3 5/8in.
