A KESI 'IMMORTALS' HANGING SCROLL 19TH CENTURY The large scroll is woven with a paradisical scene depicting Shoulao and the Eight Immortals with their respective attributes accompanied by attendants, forming groups engaged in leisurely pursuits, riding cloud swirls, boating, on pavilion terraces, and in mountain valleys. The diagonal composition is accentuated by a large gnarled pine tree entwined with large fruiting peach tree rising between rocky ledges from the right lower corner towards the left. 65¾ x 33¾ in. (167 x 86 cm.)
