A HISTORY OF THE OTTOMANS AND A HISTORY OF INDIA QAJAR IRAN, OTTOMAN HISTORY DATED SAFAR AH 1300/DECEMBER 1882-JANUARY 1883 AD, INDIAN HISTORY DATED SUNDAY 18 DHU AL-QA'DA AH 1254/2 FEBRUARY 1839 AD The Ottoman history with dedication to Nasr al-Din Shah dated AH 1303, possibly a Persian translation of a French work by Louis Dochez, 468ff. plus 5 fly-leaves, each folio with 20ll. of black nasta'liq script, catchwords, with added notes at beginning and end, ex H. Kevorkian Collection, with marbled paper doublures, in brown morocco binding, the other 'Abdullah Wassaf's (d. 1218 AD), Tajziat al-amsar wa tazhiat al-a'saf , also known as Tarikh-i wassaf , each folio with 21ll. of black nasta'liq script, catchwords, in stamped black morocco binding, ex H. Kevorkian collection, together with an Ottoman diwan signed Mustafa bin al-Hajj Musa, teacher in the madrasa Khanjaria and dated mid-Rabi' I AH 1293, each folio with 15ll. of black nasta'liq , in gilt brown morocco binding, with seal of Hassan Tahsin and a late Safavid diwan , 19ff., each with 13ll. of black shikasteh script, with illuminated headpiece, in thin cream and red tooled skin binding Folio 13¼ x 8¼in. (34 x 20.5cm.) (4)
