A high quality Indian tulwar (sword) of the 19th century, featuring a hilt with detailed silver inlay decoration. Curved, single-edged, good quality steel blade (76 cm long in a straight line from tip to hilt), having interrupted triple narrow fullers near the spine, behind one main central fuller on each side. Votive 'eyelash' markings to one side of the ricasso. The hilt solidly affixed to the tang, the iron hilt of traditional tulwar form, with knucklebow, decorated with silver inlay lines, dots and circles all over. Housed in a modern scabbard. Total length 91cm.
