Comprising: a maroon leather custom-bound volume with "Radio Plays–Audition Scripts" and "Harry Kleiner" gilt-stamped to cover and the title gilt-stamped to spine; and a red leather custom-bound volume with "Radio Plays" and "Harry Kleiner" gilt-stamped to cover and the title gilt-stamped to spine. Both volumes contain heavily annotated scripts by Kleiner from the 1940s including the radio play, House of Satan (1940), an audition script for Charles Boyer, a commercial script starring Ethel Barrymore pertaining to The Whiteoaks of Jalna, and much more. Kleiner was a playwright who wrote for network radio, and he was under contract to Twentieth Century-Fox as a scenario writer before he became a well-known screenwriter responsible for such films as Miss Sadie Thompson (1953), Bullitt (1968), and Le Mans (1971), among others.
