A Group Of Twelve Kozuka Edo Period (18th-19th Century) The first silver, chiseled with passengers on a ferry boat, the reverse with waves and plovers, with signature Hamano Kuzui , and with kao (cursive monogram); the second shibuichi , with a sunken-relief carving of a monkey dancer, the details gilt-inlay, with signature Ichiryuken Hozui and with kao ; the third copper, shibuichi and gold with a high-relief inlaid globe fish and a plum branch in shakudo and copper, with cyclical date and signature Tempo mizuno to-u dairyo Shunmei Hogen (1843) and with kao ; the fourth shakudo-nanako with a gilt-edged panel of a fan and a covered box inlaid in high relief, with signature mon Yujo Mitsuyoshi and with kao ; the fifth shakudo and shibuichi with Guanyu and a Chinese warrior chiseled and inlaid in high relief with gilt and silver details, the reverse with a halberd and a gourd in sunken relief, with signature Toshihisa ; the sixth shibuichi , with a figure blowing a horn and with a dog at his feet, chiseled in high relief, the details in shakudo and gilt, with signature Tetsugendo Naoshige and gilt-inlay seal; the seventh shibuichi with a beauty posing for a painter chiseled and inlaid in high relief in silver, gilt and shakudo , with signature Yoshinao ; the eighth gold and shakudo , with Daruma in high relief, with signature Nara Masanobu and with kao ; the ninth shakudo , with Kanzan chiseled in low relief and with inlaid-gilt details, with signature Jo-i ; the tenth shibuichi-nanako , with a shakudo -edged panel of a crane over waves applied in high relief, the details of the bird in shakudo , shibuichi and gilt, with signature Tokuyuki sei ; the eleventh shibuichi , of a Deva King in sunken relief and inlaid in high relief with gilt and shakudo , with signature Katsufumi and with kao ; the twelfth shibuichi with gilt, with a badger under a full moon chiseled in low relief with the details gilt, with an inscription on the reverse and with signature Sanshosha Ichii and with kao 3¾in.
