A GROUP OF SIX MILLINER'S HAT BLOCKS LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY Of varying head and pattern forms, now on turned ebonised stands the tallest 52cm high, the smallest 31.5cm high Condition Report: With marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age, handling, cleaning and everyday use These started off life as functional items- in everyday use and their condition reflects constant hard use with knocks, marks, pinholes, some edge losses. . Some old remedial infill, gauze overlay and slightly coarse 'running repairs' to burl and knot loss- and loss resulting from shrinkage- smallest with more pronounced edge loss and tallest of sliding three section form- with losses from worm Shrinkage faults and some old woodworm All now fitted with modern ebonised stands for display purposes. Please see additional images for visual references to condition which forms part of this condition report. All lots are available for inspection and Condition Reports are available on request. However, all lots are of an age and type which means that they may not be in perfect condition and should be viewed by prospective bidders; please refer to Condition 6 of the Conditions of Business for Buyers. This is particularly true for garden related items. We must advise you that we are not professional restorers or conservators and we do not provide any guarantee or warranty as to a lot's condition.
