A group of eleven 18th/19th century silver and brass Guild or Merchant rings Including: a silver ring with square bezel engraved with a pastoral scene of a deer grazing between two trees with corn sheaf and sickle above and the initials R Z , the shoulders with applied stylised sun masks; a brass ring, the oval bezel engraved with a boot within twin palm fronds and initials H.J.I. representing a boot maker; another with octagonal bezel engraved with a lion holding a top hat and roll of fabric with initials G H , representing a haberdasher; another with octagonal bezel engraved with a pretzel flanked by two unicorns below the initials M. S. , representing a baker; two Jewish rings, one with engraved Star of David above a jug and wine goblet the other a memorial ring engraved in Hebrew script God Bless the deceased Joseph Baruch ; and five other various guild rings, German or Eastern European Partially illustrated (11)
