A Great War Group of Three to Sergeant Major George Nelson Royal Gloucester Yeomanary, Machine Gun Company (Cavalry), (i) 1914-15 Star (2051 Pte. G. Nelson. Glouc. Yeo.) (ii) British War and Victory Medals (2051 A. SO. O. M. SJT. G. Nelson. Glouc. Yeo.), mounted for wearing, fine (iii) Recipients active service paybooks, ( showing long field service from the end of 1916 until November 1918) in France and North Africa, and a copy of the book of Common Pray (iv) Cavalry training manual dated 1912, handbook for the 303-in. Vickers Machine Gun, 1914, Infantry Machine-gun Company training manual 1917, together with a collection of related metal insignia including cap badges and collar titles, photographs and other related ephemera. Provenance: Sergeant Major George Nelson Royal Gloucestershire Hussars, thence by decent.
