A good set of three Victorian sterling silver mounted cased ruby glass decanters with bottle stands, Sheffield 1857 by James and Nathaniel Creswick The tall necked bottles with wheel cut decoration of stags and does within woodland in three different layouts. The mounts with twin pouring lips and pierced scroll sections and pull-out cork stoppers with mounts and ring handles, each with engraved decoration of foliate scrolls. The coasters of cylindrical form with spreading bases with applied wavy reed and ribbon decoration. The side with pierced decoration of foliate scrolls, the fronts engraved with a crest of a talbot’s head erased within the motto Truth is Strength. Each coaster with filled wooden bases, baize underneath. Each bottled fitted with an associated set of three wine labels, London 1842, 1844, 1850 by Charles Rawlings and William Summers, each in the form of a letter with engraved decoration of foliage, G for Gin, B for Brandy, and W for Whiskey, respectively. Each fully marked to the coasters, bottle mounts and part-marked to the stopper mounts, each fully marked to the wine labels. (3) Height – 36.3 cm / 14.3 inches
