A gilt bronze figure of Buddha Nepal, 15th/16th century Seated in dhyanasana over a double-lotus base with his hands in bhumisparsamudra , wearing a diaphanous sanghati with the folds piled below the ankles, the face with downcast eyes centered by a raised urna and flanked by pendulous earlobes, the hair in curls over the ushnisha and topped with a knop 7 7/8 in. (20 cm.) high
