A German silver and cut crystal center bowl Print Late 19th/early 20th century, Hanau, the silver plateau and bowl-mount each with maker's mark for J.D. Schleissner & Sohne, further marked ''800'', ''Germany'' and with additional pseudo marks, the oblong cut crystal bowl supported by four swans with wings outstretched forming the diamond-shaped mount, raised atop a beveled mirror-inset quatrefoil bead and acanthus-molded plateau, overall: 8.75'' H x 18'' W x 12.5'' D, weighable silver 51.875 oz troy approximately, Provenance: Estate Santa Ynez, CA. Condition: Overall good condition. General marks, scratches, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age. A 3.5''-long crack and scattered nicks and chips to cut crystal liner. One swan with a pin-sized hole to base of neck. Mirrored plateau with scattered spots of degradation to silvering and concentrated areas of scratching to surface. Weight does not include cut-crystal bowl or plateau.
