A George IV silver part cutlery suite in probably original fitted silver chest, comprising 19 table forks, 10 dessert forks, 30 tablespoons, 10 dessert spoons, together with 7 silver bladed and handled (loaded) fruit forks and fruit knives, silver handled carving knife, a quantity of ivory handled and steel bladed table and dessert knives, and other associated steel bladed knives, the solid silver pieces all in the Fiddle pattern with engraved armorial to terminals, the vast majority by Andrew Wilkie and further struck JsH, Edinburgh 1825, a small number of pieces from other makers and with London assays (but of the period), gross weight 138 troy oz excluding the flatware with silver handles, the oak case being iron bound and fully fitted with velvet lined annotated trays, case w.52cm
