by John Shaw, Birmingham probably 1818 In the form of a pocket watch, the cover embellished with fruiting vines and engine-turned central circular reserve and opening to reveal a pierced foliate grille, with ring attachment; together with a Victorian blue and white coloured-glass scent bottle, the silver screw lid unmarked, a mother of pearl and silver pocket knife, by Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall, Sheffield 1881, a silver fret-cut boar dressed as a countryman, by Frederick James Ross London 1920, a silver photo frame, by Sydney & Co, Birmingham 1917, plain rectangular form, a Victorian silver-mounted cut-glass container, by William Comyns & Sons, London 1897, compressed form, the cover profusely chased with scrolling foliage, a Victorian silver card case, by Atkin Brothers, Sheffield 1873, rectangular form with hinged lid, engraved with fruiting vines, foliage and strapwork-like bands, and four thimbles, two, Chester, the other two, unmarked, height of frame 24.6cm, weight total 5oz.
