A French Renaissance style enamel-mounted ebony, ebonised and satinwood cabinet By Hunsinger & Wagner, Paris, Third quarter 19th Century The breakfront dentil-carved pediment above a recessed guilloche frieze centred by a plaque depicting a female nude and putti, above a cupboard door inset with two small plaques depicting a putto and a circular plaque with initials RR , above an arched plaque depicting Galatea in her dolphin-drawn chariot, signed to the left M. Puisoye , above a further rectangular foliate-decorated plaque, the interior fitted with an adjustable shelf, the lockplate engraved Hunsinger, Paris , the sides each with a circular plaque depicting Cupid, the angles with acanthus carved columns, above a frieze drawer supported by circular columns, on a stepped base, the back with similarly-carved decoration and further circular plaques, on bun feet 69 in. (175 cm.) high; 43½ in. (110,5 cm.) wide; 20 in. (51 cm.) deep
