A FRENCH ORMOLU-MOUNTED CHINESE IMARI PORCELAIN JARDINIERE THE PORCELAIN KANGXI (1662 - 1722), THE MOUNTS 19TH CENTURY The porcelain blue and red-glazed and parcel-gilt, the guilloche rim above the porcelain body decorated with objects within cartouches and separated by floral borders, with ring handles and pierced pilaster supports headed by a female mask and on a molded rim, the underside to ormolu base stamped 'CHER', the underside to porcelain marked with a diamond with a serpent entwined around it, the porcelain later gilt and highlighted with iron red, regilt 10¾ in. (27.5 cm.) high, 12½ in. (32 cm.) wide
