A FRENCH LOUIS XVI STYLE ORMOLU-MOUNTED MAHOGANY WRITING-TABLE LAST QUARTER 19TH CENTURY The plain rectangular top with a Vitruvian scroll edge, above a panelled frieze with two drawers divided by a flower-filled urn mount to the front and a conforming back with faux drawers, the angles set with berried foliate clasps, on circular tapering fluted legs joined by a stretcher with two foliate finials and on toupie feet 29½ in. (75 cm.) high; 43½ in. (110 cm.) wide; 25½ in. (65 cm.) deep
