A French Giltwood Applique 19th century in the form of a leafy tree top. Height 29 1/2 x width 28 3/4 inches. Estimate $ 500-700 In overall decent condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Losses to the gilt and few losses to the carved decoration. Areas of separation visible, but likely associated to shrinkage with some minor restoration occuring to the back. Traces of worm and age splits.
