A finely engineered and fully equipped 3in scale model of the Burrell single cylinder, two speed, three shaft General Purpose Traction Engine Reg.No. DM 1928 Sir Peter ; and a four wheel trailor/driving trolley, all built by D.J.Moir. Engine measurements -- 30¼ x 45in (76.8 x 114.3cm) . With braised copper boiler built by R.R.Chambers with fittings including water gauge with gauge glass protector and shut-off cocks, pressure gauge, safety, blower, injector, water lift, whistle and clack valves. Engine details include cylinder 2in bore x 2½in stroke, footplate controlled drain-cocks and pipework, studded stuffing boxes, ratchet operated lubricator, Stephenson's link reverse, crosshead drip tray and drain pipe, bolted, wedged big end, two road speeds, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, pickering governor and spoked flywheel. Chassis details include rubber tyred spoked straked wheels with brass hubcaps, worm and roller chain steering with chain check, damper and removable ashpan, band brake to second shaft, cable drum, cable and fairleads, tank level gauge, waterlift and suction pipe, injector, oak footboard and tool box. Further details include wick type or oil pots and pipes to all bearings, firing shute, firing irons and tools. Finished in green and yellow with red lining and polished brightwork.
