With certificate CS 34069 dated 19 July 2000 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that the sapphire is, based on available gemological information, in the opinion of the Laboratory, of Kashmir origin. Heat Enhancement: None. With certificate CS 34070 dated 19 July 2000 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that the emerald is, based on available gemological information, in the opinion of the Laboratory, of Colombian origin. It is the opinion of the laboratory that this material exhibits evidence of faint to moderate clarity enhancement (Oil Type Treatment Canadian Balsam). Canadian Balsam was one of the classic enhancement agents traditionally used during the early 1900's and in its current form is very stable.
