A FINE PAIR OF INSCRIBED BLUE AND WHITE TEA TRAYSSEAL MARKS AND PERIOD OF JIAQING清嘉慶 青花御題詩海棠式茶盤一對 《大清嘉慶年製》款 each with shallow lobed sides of quatrefoil section, raised on four short bracket feet, the interior inscribed with an imperial poem pertaining to the preparation of tea and dated to the dingsi year of the Jiaqing reign (corresponding to 1797), surrounded by a band of scrolling lotus and florets repeated on the interior and exterior walls with a variation on the central bloom, the base inscribed with a six-character seal mark15.8 cm, 6¼ in.Condition Report There is a small loss to a bracket feet of one tea tray (approx. 1 x 0.5 cm) and a very faint glaze line to the inner rim on the left (approx. 1 cm). The other tray with a minute glaze flake to the lower part of the interior. Minor general surface wear.
