A FINE LOUIS XV STYLE ORMOLU-MOUNTED TULIPWOOD BOMBE VITRINE BY FRANÇOIS LINKE INDEX NUMBER 905, THE MOUNTS DESIGNED BY LÉON MESSAGÉ, PARIS, EARLY 20TH CENTURY The serpentine brèche violette marble top above a spreading pediment headed by a seaweed-draped mermaid mask, above a central bombé glazed door set within an ormolu frame cast with foliage and trelliswork and with similarly-mounted glazed sides, the silk-lined interior fitted with three adjustable glass shelves, the angles set with floral clasps, above a shaped apron with central 'crab' mount, on cabriole legs with scrolling acanthus-wrapped sabots, signed F. Linke to the upper right ormolu clasp, the reverse of the mounts variously stamped FL. 77 in. (195 cm.) high; 51¼ in. (130 cm.) wide; 21½ in. (55 cm.) deep
