A FINE GEORGE IV COMPOSITE SILVER-GILT AND SILVER-GILT MOUNTED AGATE DESSERT SERVICE Comprising: Twelve gray agate pistol-handled dessert spoons, the backs of the silver-gilt bowls engraved with a crest under an Earl's coronet, maker's mark of William Chawner, London, 1829 Twelve octagonally-faceted agate-handled dessert knives with silver-gilt scimitar blades, similarly engraved, maker's mark of Robert Peppin, London, 1829 Twelve matching agate-handled three-pronged dessert forks, unengraved, by the same, 1829 Twelve fluted gray agate pistol-handled cheese knives, with silver-gilt ferrules and scimitar steel blades, the ferrules unmarked, the blades stamped W.
