A fine collection of trophies and a photographic archive relating to the celebrated English International polo star player Eric Horace Tyrrell-Martin (British, 1905 - 1953), comprising silver and silver-plated polo trophies, two photograph albums relating to the life and career of Tyrrell-Martin, as well as two address books belonging to his wife, Edith ''Babs'', containing details for many celebrities including Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Clarke Gable, Walt Disney Bing Crosby and Charley [sic] Chaplin, the trophies include a some that pre-date Tyrrell-Martin's time and were presumably family inheritances, the majority bear inscriptions including: a silver pedestal bowl with ribbon and caryatid decoration, raised upon a circular foot ring, hallmarked Birmingham 1909 by J W Tiptaft, engraved ''Clonmel 1910, 1st prize 2 Couple entered bitches, Glory & Gossop - Guilty & Gadabout'', engraved with retailer Weir & Sons Dublin, 12.5 x 18 cm, 404 gms; a silver scroll twin handled trophy cup, hallmarked London 1910 by William Hutton & Sons Ltd, engraved ''Carlow Hunt Races, Light Weight, 1911'', engraved with retailer Weir & Sons Dublin, 19.5 x 27.7 cm, 870 gms; a silver scrolled twin handled trophy cup, hallmarked London 1910 by CS Harris & Sons Ltd, engraved ''Carlow Hunt Races, Light Weight, 1912'', engraved with retailer Weir & Sons Dublin, 13.5 x 28 cm, 559 gms; a pair of silver pedestal trophy cup, hallmarked London 1928 by Sebastian Henry Garrard, each engraved ''Beaufort Hunt Polo Club, Spring Cup, April 1929'', 15 x 11.5 cm, 217 gms; a silver twin handled trophy cup, hallmarked Birmingham 1924 by Deykin & Harrison, engraved ''W.S.P.C., Junior Cup, 1925, Templeton, 1.
