A FINE AND RARE CELADON-GLAZED MOULDED 'ROPE TWIST' GLOBULAR VASE YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735) The vase is finely moulded to the exterior of the globular body with a band of interlocking knotted ropes forming a repeated diamond pattern. Further modelled with a moulded rope-form loop handle to the top of the band on each side of the shoulder. It is applied with a subtle glaze of pale greenish-blue tone, thinning to white at the raised decoration and mouth rim. 6 3/4 in. (17 cm.) high, box
