A detailed display model of the White Star Liner R.M.S. Titanic Anonymous (American, 20th century) A well detailed, large scale model of this famous and tragic ship. The hull is painted with a rust red bottom and black topsides. The deck of the model is planked in basswood strips and fitted with numerous details which include: masts, radio aerials and rigging and deck details including anchors, capstans, bollards, deck rails, companionways, deck winches, hatches, cranes, superstructure with bridge and wing bridges, passenger accommodation with painted doors and windows, glazed deck lights, stayed funnels painted in White Star Line livery and with safety valve extension pipes, ladders, ventilators, passenger seats, docking bridge, eighteen lifeboats and many other details. The hull has simulated plating, three three-blade propellers and rudder and is mounted on two brass columns, mahogany-framed glazed case and table. 84½ x 18 x 61 in. (214.6 x 45.7 x 154.9 cm) cased dimensions on stand.
