(4to) 30.5x24.7 cm (12x9¾"), volumes are bound in paper-covered boards, with title labels on the spines and front covers. Originally published as an eleven-volume set, serially between 1812 and 1861, and depicting classical marbles in the collection of The British Museum. Vol. III, 1818; Vol. IV, 1820; Vol. V, 1826; Vol. XI, 1861. Lot Amendments Condition: There is light to moderate rubbing and toning concentrated at the extremities. The bindings are solid. The pages show mild to moderate age toning and occasional foxing/spotting, mostly marginal; Vol. III with evident chipping/losses along the spine. Vol. XI with moderately bumped corners, note that there is a crack between signatures in Vols. III and XI, Light to moderate offsetting to the pastedowns and opposite front endpapers.
