A decoupage decorated stoneware stick stand, late 19th century, of large vase form and with pierced lid, 80cm high Condition Report: Overall there are marks, scratches, paint flaking, rubbing and abrasions consistent with age and wear. The decoupage is cut from fabric, rather than the usual card, and is applied to a painted ground which has aged, crazed and is flaking in some areas. The lid is made of turned wood, with a turned wood acorn finial, and it has split in half and been repaired with glue. The decoupage is peeling in some areas. There are chips around the rim. There is a distinct rib half way up the vase, and just below this there is a visible crack in some areas to the exterior. The corresponding crack is more clearly visible to the interior. The wood base and maroon painted under base are of a later date to the decoupage. Please see the additional images as a visual reference of condition. Condition Report Disclaimer
