A Continental Black Lacquered Wood and Gilt Ormolu Mounted Mantel Clock, decorated with musical instruments and floral swags, the clock face reads: George Margaret, King Street, Cheapside, London , topped with a finial in the form of the god Hermes. Height 37 x width 18 1/2 x depth 12 1/4 inches. Estimate $ 800-1,200 Property from the Estate of Beverly and Raymond Lutgert, Naples, Florida All scratches and scuffs consistent with age and use. Top finial and four finials around the top four corners are loose. End of the ormolu swag to the right side a top has been broken off. Gilt ormolu mount to top center above the clock face broken off but retained and can be reattached. Scuffs and scratched to the clock face. Vertical cracks to the lacquer on the case throughout. Small area of loss the the lacquer at top of the back door. Handle to the left side of the case loose. Back door has white residue to lower portion. Inside having 15 bells and hammers and music box comb. Clock takes a wind but unsure of the accuracy of the movement. See photos
