A CONSULAT ORMOLU AND MARBLE OBELISK MANTEL CLOCK The movement by Engaz Surmounted by a globe, above a plaque depicting Amor holding a bow and torch, standing on a globe supported by two maidens, above a white enamelled dial with Arabic chapters and pendulum regulator, signed 'ENGAZ A PARIS', above ribbon-tied drapery, the sides with scrolling foliage headed by a flaming tourch, the rectangular socle-frieze depicts winged putti with various musical instruments to the front and with playing with flower garlands to the sides, on a rectangular plinth with chained posts and beaded edges, on round spreading gadrooned feet, the back plate stamped for AD. MOUGIN, also stamped 'S.H Paris', '412 4 4' and '15', the pendulum stamped '3233', the back of the dial etched 'H-1-30-1819', the movement probably associated and early 19th Century 25½ in. (65 cm.) high; 13½ in. (34.3 cm.) wide; 10 in. (25.5 cm.) deep
