Gladstone, MP, on the occasion of the cutting of the first sod of the Wirral Railway from the Hawarden Bridge to Birkenhead, 21st October, 1892', the shovel similarly engraved and with a similar plaque bearing the same inscription, the silver with the mark of Walker & Hall, Silversmiths, Sheffield The wheelbarrow 47 in.
