A collection of three George I coins. Consisting of a George I copper farthing coin with the obverse reading GEORGIVS REX and the reverse reading BRITTAN NIA, dated 1720, a George I Irish halfpenny with the obverse reading GEORGIUS DEI GRATIA REX and the reverse HIBERNIA, dated 1726, together with another George I halfpenny, dated 1719. 1.1 in (2.8 cm) diameter, 1 in (2.5 cm) diameter, 0.9 in (2.2 cm) diameter. (3 items) Provenance: This lot came from The Ronald Goode collection at the Pumphouse Educational Museum in Rotherhithe. The Museum housed a fascinating private collection of artifacts discovered on the Thames foreshore in Rotherhithe along with an interesting collection of Peak Freans biscuit factory items which once existed locally in the area. The later collection also included a magnificent six foot iced replica of Queen Elizabeth II's wedding cake with a letter of thanks from Elizabeth II which was on permanent exhibit at The Pumphouse Museum.
