a collection of thirty eight programmes for London theatres, including the Savoy, Covent Garden, Strand, Princess's, Adelphi, Drury Lane, Gaiety, Prince of Wales, and Avenue Theatres, the official libretto for Haverly's Minstrels, six books of words for Musical Evenings held by the South London Musical Club, ten programmes for performances by the Whittington Dramatic Society, and others, a few illustrated or with typographical decororation in the "aesthetic" style, bound in one volume, small 8vo, 1878-1887 § Souvenir for "The Little Minister", Theatre Royal, Haymarket, 17 leaves including 15 portraits by Phil May, loose in original folder, worn, 1898 § Souvenir of the Criterion Theatre, illustrations original cloth gilt, [1903]; and 15 others, 8vo (18) *** The programmes in the bound volume are usually annotated by the original owner, who played at some of the South London Musical Club and Whittington performances. He was apparently the cellist M. Albert.
